about Christopher Lanza
Born and raised near Boston Massachusetts, I graduated from the University of Massachusetts in 1989. I attended Nova University Law School where I was part of a nationally recognized trial advocacy team. In 1993 I was inducted into the Order of Barristers for recognition of outstanding courtroom advocacy. After graduating from law school, I studied for the Florida and Massachusetts Bar Exams taking them both in successive days in 1993. I passed both bar exams and was licensed to practice in both Florida and Massachusetts.
I began my legal career working for a civil trial firm and tried
over 40 civil cases during my 5 years there. In 1999 , I started
Lanza and Bugay, PA where I oversaw the civil trial practice section
of the firm. From 2000 to 2005 our firm represented over
25 taxi cab and medical transportation companies defending them
against law suits filed in Miami-Dade and Broward County. Our firm
tried dozens of these taxi cases obtaining numerous defense verdicts
and nominal jury verdicts in most of the cases.
In 2005, I started Christopher F. Lanza PA and began to focus once
again on the Plaintiff side of the law. From 2005 to present, we
have tried over 50 cases and settled hundreds more. Many of our
cases are "tough cases" that other lawyers send to us to take to
trial or resolve under the pressures of litigation.
My passion has been sailboat racing and spending time on the ocean.
As part of that hobby, I have met and represented numerous boat
owners, dive shops and instructors as well as dive manufacturing
companies. Our firm can handle all of your civil litigation needs.
